The definition of a corporate takeover is when a company has a controlling interest of shares bought up by another company and the other company then oust the original company and thus takes them over. We (B-Town) do not want this to happen to us.
B-Town was set up by a small group of people (4 to be exact). We alone came to this area and in a matter of weeks repopulated this zombie ridden area. It was during that time we came up with our Revive Clinic idea and it worked. We also knew to ensure the safety of the people in our area, we were going to have to stay close to our revive clinic and really maintain it as well as educate the survivors around us on maintaining it. We noticed that on a map that there were a lot of areas to the West and Northwest of us that could not be easily accessed by Free Running. For the most part, that became the boundaries of B-Town because almost everything we needed was in close vincenty of the mansion. The only thing not close to us is a police station and even that isn't too far away. We hid in the Warehouse because it was right next to the NT building and Zombies don't attack Warehouses. Our groups numbers started to grow during this time all the while acting as a secret society.
Then we met the BOW. And you guys are cool. We like your heart and you guys are bent on revivin zombies. But the first thing you guys wanted to do, when we met, was to change our revive clinic to some block where there was just a street. We said no and you guys agreed to help with our revive efforts so everything was cool. But now you guys are seeing the number of survivors that are hanging around B-Town, the zombie population is next to nothing and you guys have nothing better to do than to try to expand upon yourself to try and become the largest survivor group in all of Malton. And that's cool. More power to ya but part of that recruitment will eventually allow you to control the area where you are recruiting from. With all that being said, you are now trying to recruit in our area.
Like we said; we like you guys, we will assist you in revive efforts and even go zombie hunting but we do not want to join your group and we do not want you guys to start coming in and telling us what we are going to do. The reason why so many people are coming here is because of our group and the way we do things. Negotiations sometimes get heated but everything gets worked out in the end and then we all drink beer we found at the bar. We are not asking much, just don't put your recruitment tags up in a 3 block radius of the Mansion. I know your group would feel just as offended if we went to your areas and tagged B-Town recruitment tags there. I hope that the BOW will work with us on this so that both our groups can get back to what is important and that is protecting the survivors.

It seems like I might have missed the point of this discussion. my a**umption was that the B-Town Boyz were complaining about BOW tagging because it disrupted their effort in informing other survivors about their revive point.
However, I now get the impression that it is the recruitment which is the problem. Hypothetically, would the B-Town Boyz still have a problem if the entire area was tagged with information about the revive point and their group, and BOW tried to recruit by speaking in the most populated buildings?

Of course not. We did not say you can't recruit out of our area. We can't stop you from that and we don't want to stop you from that. But it is a combonation of loss of information about the revive clinic and fear of a corporate takeover that we are asking that you don't post your recruitment tags on the buildings. Sound fair?

Hail BOW, I'm just getting caught up on all the hullabaloo. I have been asked to weigh in on this again. First I would like to say that i am glad this disagreement is only over spray tagging and not anything like PK'ing. Both of our groups serve the same purpose in Malton, I feel personally responsible for the misunderstanding, and for that I apologies. I have personally sprayed over Bow Tags east of the Curton mansion west of the two Hospitals. That area really seems to be the sticking point. I did so to (mostly) advertise our Revivification clinic, though some where for fun like when i call the gas station a Spray station , cause thats where i scrounge my spray cans. I should have approached a member or two or maybe made a post here. I would like to say that if there are any negative tags about BOW that we are not responsible. I have seen Tags that i consider negative twords B-town ("BOW-Town") up and when I do I have covered them with our reviv advertisement ones. I would also like to agree with some one earlier who said allot of this could be coming form a third party who want to see us waste out time and AP squabbling over this. B-Town has made a enemy or two for whom i could see this kind of grief as their MO. I would also like to say that not every building in the area where we roam we tag. there are a number of places where there seem to be smallish groups have taken over and we leave them alone. If some one is taking good care of the building and have stuff on their wall (which is not talking crap about us) no need to cause them to want to leave, We want more survivors in the area. There is no reason why BOW cant recruit "inside" B-Town. We both benefit from each other being strong. B-Towns tags are for the most part for mush heads so maybe we could spay out side, and Bow tags seem for survivors so maybe they could be inside, in the area in question. Ive stooped spaying over tags that don't say Bow-Town as long as they are not in every block. As long as the Cades are kept up and we have some of the tags in the area I will be happy. ... yeah I'm tiered of typing so ill stop here. more to come as necessary.

I've got to go to the store soon so i'll be making a larger post about this later but I just read redlash's post and wanted to make a comment about it. The persons that I know that are our major taggers do not make tags that say BOW-Town. Our primary use for tags is to encourage use of the revive points and to link people to our wiki and forums to get them interested in joining. We do not use self promoting tags such as the one you listed, all of our tags are supposed to be informational. I apologize if any of our newer members did not realize this and made this mistake but I know that our older members that are our major taggers do not do this.
I'm glad we've been able to have a civilized discussion about all of this and have avoided any major conflict that could have arisen here. Again i'll be making a larger post later but I just needed to make a clarification about that point. Thank you.
*edit*
Okay here's the rest of my post. Allow me then to end this conflict of discussion between our two groups. BOW will refrain from tagging in a 3x3 block area around the mansion so that the B-Town Boyz can tag what they wish. As it stands now this will include tagging inside and outside of buildings. A forum wide message will be sent to all users.
Beyond this BOW can do no more to control tags from coming up from random people but we will do our best to make sure that new recruits know to leave this area alone when it comes to tagging. A new thread will also be started with BOW regulations when it comes to tagging so all new members will know the SOP of BOW's tagging.
Beyond this the B-Town Boyz will not hold BOW accountable for any stray messages that are in their area as it is now being established that all members of BOW will refrain from tagging in this area unless other-wise noted in a later agreement with the Boyz. I encourage all of the Boyz members that check this forum to also read the new thread that will be started on our tagging procedures so they can differentiate between BOW tags and when people that are not BOW members tag so we can prevent any further confusion in the future.
I appreciate all the input on this subject that the members of BOW have contributed as well as that of the B-Town Boyz. Thank you all for reading this and don't forget to check out the tagging thread. If anyone has any problems with it or suggestions about it please feel free to PM me. If any changes on it come about i'll be sure to make a post in the B-Town area here so that everyone can become aware. Again, thank you all and have a wonderful day!

B-Towns tags are for the most part for mush heads so maybe we could spay out side, and Bow tags seem for survivors so maybe they could be inside, in the area in question. That sounds pretty good. We usually when people are killed they are dumped outside and that would be the perfect time to know about the revive point and since we are recruiting non-dead inside is better for us.

We too are glad that both of our groups can talk on a civilized basis. We do thank your group very much for this. We do understand that there are morons not associated with both of our groups that might do things beyond that of either of our groups control. B-Town trusts that the word of the BOW is good so if anything does arise, we can talk about it on this forum first before anything else. Now, lets go have some beers and revive some zombies.

I am guessing the bow town tags were sort of a play on your "b-town baby!" tags. I am assuming all of your tagging without revive info or declaring it your "town" will also end. It seems like members of BOW are really bending over backward to make this work.... What are you guys going to do for us?

...I am assuming all of your tagging without revive info or declaring it your "town" will also end. It seems like members of BOW are really bending over backward to make this work.... What are you guys going to do for us?I really don't understand your point, bugfree. It seems to me like you just didn't follow the whole thread. "Town" is a part of our name. If we are talking about "our area", we mean the area where we are living, reviving etc. We surely don't possess the area. But we are surely not a bunch of guys maintaining a revive spot for BOW. And therefore I don't see why "members of BOW are really bending over backward to make this work" unless you consider a claim of leadership for BOW. We have much respect and sympathy for BOW and so should you have for B-Town. My personal impression is that most of BOW members do agree to this... Skippy and Red Lash came up with good ideas. What are you coming up with?

I agree that the "bow town" tags really don't serve a recruitment purpose. I am very sure that won't happen again if it was done by someone on our team. I think if it was done by someone on our team, it was probably someone upset because we have had to retag the buildings almost every day because your team tags right over our recruitment tags. If that is the case I am sure they will tag the recruitment info that you guys tagged over in the first place.
I think that represents most of what has been said. No tagging recruitment inside the mansion, your warehouse, the hospital and NT building. Recruitment tagging only inside all other buildings, but not outside. Also I am sure this means that we won't be seeing any of your "btown baby!!!" tags, since it really doesn't advertise the revive clinic. :-)

That sounds just about right but we need to include a couple of more buildings.
1. The Firminger Hotel. This is the Newbee Survivor enterance point for those guys without the Free Running Skill.
2. Club Budd. You will never hear the end of it if you get into it with these guys. They are not with any offical group but they are kind of their own group. That place is actually cool to go down and have drinks in but we leave that inside wall to them (really we don't care if you tag here but they will).
3. Gapper Place Railraway Station[/b]. Again, same type of situation. We actually went into negotiaions with his group at one time and all he wanted was that square to himself. He is kind of a different guy and he will find you guys and ask you not to tag his place. I would leave him be.
Outside of that, the rest will have to be free game. Expect to see our recruitment tags up in the area as well. Let me know what you think of this & then I will make sure the rest of B-Town knows whats up.

Ok this is nonsense why do you keep tagging over actual information like what barricade levels should be and revive request links to just put up your logo, I was respraying your stupid stuff back over with actual instructions and both BOW and BTown in the tag, but not anymore. Someone spray painted the Flowar Buildings BOW tag over with this crap. I have been taking care of the Flowar building for no less than the last 4 months without too much help and for sure without BTown help, Flowar is the center of freaking Earletown, its definately not in your 3x3 range. I don't come over and respray Curton Mansion, I keep to a freaking 2 block range around Flowar, leave my tags alone! Especially don't respray actual instructions with just your freaking name, you want your name up in Western Earletown, fine, get it out there by leaving good instructions to the newbies in the area, not respraying a building you don't even know what is going on in. You can only tag what you've actually spent AP clearing and cading and that tag is the first AP a Btowner has spent in Flowar in the last 4 months so go back to Chancelwood. --N0TAPYR0 13:55, 25 March 2007 (BST)

Sorry about that, n0tapyr0. I apologize on behalf of B-Town. If it really was a member of the B-Town Boyz, it must have been one of our rookies. I'll personally inform everbody about this incidence.
