I have like 0xp and I was curious how everyone else is going about getting their xp. I took Ranged Combat as my first skill which in retrospect might have been a poor choice since I don't know who the hell to attack! Anyway let me know how you guys are doing your xp and also the general vicinity you guys are so I can make my way over there. Safety in numbers and all that. I know that's almost counterproductive without a HQ but oh well.

My advice is getting the skill Sense Morality ASAP as it tells you who are Good and who are Evil. After that, just run around and attack every Evil character you find. Ever since Joe East got it, he's been running around, yelling "Fight me, evil-doer!" each time he gfound someone Evil. I can see 3 ways for you to level: - Find a Library, search for books and read them; about every other book gives you 5 XP, so you should be level 2 and get 10 CP in around 40. Tip: search during the in-game day, shown by the Sun/Moon symbol. The sun rises at 3, 7 and 11 am and pm GMT and stays up for two hours. - You can find a hospital or Pharmacy, search for FAKs and run around healing people with less than full Health circles. Though this might be a pain without First Aid, as you only heal 5 HP per FAK and you risk wasting FAKs on people who lack less than 5 HP. - The option I went with, was exploring; there are several Exploration Badges spread around the Nexus which you recieve 1 CP from if you find them. I can give you a link to a map which shows their locations, but just be sure you don't want to find them by yourself. A lot of people enjoy finding the badges without the use of pre-made maps; there are clues in both location descriptions and in newspapers. If you don't want to spend that much time on finding them, they're a good way to quickly gain another skill. The badges are represented by small yellow squares. Hover your mouse above them to see their name and whether they are inside (i) or outside (o). When you are at the correct location, you only need to search a single time to earn the badge.

I went with a pair of engineers, and also keep an eye out as some books can hook you up with spells as well.
