Welcome to the Group! Check out the Hunter's Lodge, the Scientist's Lab and the Engineer's Workshop. I added you to the BOW wiki page as a hunter, but feel free to change it. If you want to "Kick Butt" you might want to be a hunter.

My advice is Hand-to-hand combat, as it will raise your hit ratio with the axe to 40%.

A good hint that I have learned over the past couple of months is to put "please revive me" in your Zombie profile description. That way when people are DNA scanning you(if you are dead) they can revive you without it being a combat revive.

hey soloman666, don't waste your time with books they are hard to find and pretty time consuming compared to other methods... finding a Z to kill, XP points for every point of damage dealt and totally kill him off and you get something like 10 XP.. (correct me someone if im wrong), also the wire cutters don't have much use now, but were used orginally to cut through junkyards

Yep, me101 is right about the XP you get from zeds. Basically the way to go is this:
- find a safehouse that is barricaded at very strongly or lower, and operate from there - use your axe to kill zeds - when you reach 100 XP, buy a skill. Preferably Free Running, but if you want advice: just give us a holler.
You have an advantage and a disadvantage. Advantage is that Earletown is relatively safe, so as a beginner you can survive easier. Disadvantage is the absence of zeds, which are the prima source of XP. But don't worry: when you get past level 4, XP-gain should increase.

wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Main_PageThis is your ultimate Urban Dead resource. wire cutters are currently useless. Zerging is when one player uses multiple characters to work together. You can have more than one character, but they can;t work together. Free running gets you into safer buildings, increasing your access to resources and safety. If your a firefighter I'd advise leveling up like this- Hand to hand combat (increases your XP gain rate) Free running Body Building (These increase your survivability.) This gives you a character that is just as hard to kill as any other in the game and provides you with a very reliable way to level up. You should be able to make 30-40 XP per day.

Zerging refers to a tactic that was once widely used in the Blizzard game StarCraft. It was where, in multiplayer mode, player that played as the alien race of the Zergs would spend all of their resources early in the game to create small low level creatures called Zerglings. They would then swarm opponents bases with these smaller creatures completely out numbering them and defeating their enemies in a matter of minutes. Genereally this tactic is looked down upon in games because it gives a widely unfair advantage to one side. I think probably the only time it's considered fair is when it's against the computer, because the computer is a douche most of the time.
In the case of Urban Dead zombies would create a bunch of low level zed characters and use the same zerging tactics to assault survivor locations such as malls. This way they could easily have several zombie characters with 50 AP each all attacking the same place, whereas survivors only had one character in the building with a max of 50 AP. Kinda unfair no?
